I want more clients (and part of me is ashamed to admit it) - Kathy Varol

I want more clients (and part of me is ashamed to admit it)

I want more clients

There’s a strange tightrope we’re taught to walk, especially as women.
Be ambitious—but not too ambitious.
Promote your work—but don’t come off as pushy.
If you want more—say it indirectly, with an apologetic smile.

For a long time, I danced that dance.
I didn’t fully own what a great coach I am, choosing to talk my gift down so I didn’t sound too confident. I’d soften my wins and my wants.
I said things like, “work is amazing,” even when it’s not where I want it to be.

Because what if being honest made me sound needy? Greedy? Not enough?

But I’m done playing small for the sake of sounding polite.

So let me say this clearly:
I want more clients.
And while part of me is ashamed to admit that want, I’m brave enough to say it anyway.

I want more clients, not because I need to prove anything.
Not because I’m chasing some metric of success.
But because I know the power of this work.

I know what happens when someone finally says the thing they’ve never said out loud.
I’ve watched clients shed the story that’s kept them small.
I’ve supported clients as they stop abandoning themselves and start living in full alignment with themselves.

And I want more people to experience that.

I want more clients because I love watching someone return to themselves with newer, kinder eyes.
I want more clients because I know what it feels like to live in a life that no longer fits—and I know how liberating it is to finally step out of it.
I want more clients because this work changes people. And changed people change the world.

Let’s be real: there’s a cultural script that tells coaches, creatives, and heart-centered entrepreneurs to downplay our desire for growth. To let business “happen naturally.” To wait for referrals. To not want anything.

But want is not a dirty word.
Desire is not shameful.
And ambition—especially when it’s rooted in service—is sacred.

So here’s what I want:
I want to coach the person who’s been quietly whispering, “There has to be more than this.”

I want to work with the high-achiever who’s checked every box but still feels like something’s missing.

I want to walk alongside the dreamer who’s ready to make their dreams reality—and the leader who’s ready to lead differently.

And I want to support people who are brave enough to get honest. Brave enough to get curious. Brave enough to show up.

If that’s you, I have space.
Real space. Emotional space. Creative space.
Not just in my calendar—but in my heart.

And no, I won’t apologize for wanting to fill it.

Because every client I get to work with is another opportunity to create meaningful, ripple-effect change.
In a life. In a company. In a family. In the world.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign—this is it.
You don’t have to do it alone.
You don’t have to stay stuck in the limbo of “fine.”
And you don’t have to pretend you’ve got it all figured out.

Let’s do the deep, honest work together.
Let’s find what you’re really here for.

Because this isn’t about more for the sake of more.
This is about meaning. Alignment. Aliveness.

And there’s room for you.
