How I launched an online course in just 4 weeks

Four weeks.

That’s all it took to turn my live Career Shift group coaching program into a fully-fledged online course, complete with modules, worksheets, video content, a mastermind launch, and an email campaign. From the first “I’m doing this” to people sitting in their virtual seats for Lesson One—it was all done in a month.

The reason I was able to move so quickly? ChatGPT.

I first had the idea to translate my virtual coaching program into an online course three years ago, but it felt like a monumental task. So I kept kicking the idea down the road to an unknown, “I’ll get to that later” date.

I knew I wanted to make this content more accessible—not just financially, but from a scheduling standpoint, too. Offering it as an online course meant people could access the transformative material at their own pace, from anywhere in the world. No need to coordinate virtual meetings. No need to pay the higher price of live coaching sessions.

It was the perfect solution.

But how was I going to take everything I’d developed and taught live, and repackage it into a new format that still felt authentic and effective? How was I going to do that while running a business, coaching clients, and managing my life?

That’s where ChatGPT became my secret weapon.

I’ve been using ChatGPT daily for all sorts of things. It helped me analyze roofing options for our home (Cedar Shake? Tesla Solar? Composite?), come up with new recipes when I had only random ingredients on hand, and brainstorm ideas for my next big project.

And now this massive task—transforming how I delivered my Career Shift program.

Last year I learned how to use ChatGPT thanks to The AI Advantage, an online course by my husband Ozan Varol. In 6 weeks, I went from “I know nothing about AI” to using it like a pro. And for me, learning to use ChatGPT has been a game changer. It was like learning to use a computer for the first time—once I got the hang of it, I couldn’t believe how much faster and more efficiently I could work.

If you’re in your mid-forties or older, I’m sure you can relate to the revolution that was the computer!

With ChatGPT, I started drafting content for my course in record time. I’d brainstorm module titles, ask for suggestions on flow, and even draft video scripts. ChatGPT helped me break down my coaching sessions into bite-sized lessons, helped me refine the structure, and ensured I stayed organized as I built the course online.

The best part? It didn’t replace my voice—it helped me amplify it.

Turning this program into an online course was an internal goal I’d been dreaming about for a while. I wanted to make this transformative work more accessible. And that’s exactly what happened. Now, instead of being available only to those who could afford the higher cost of live coaching or who could align with my schedule, this course is available to anyone, anywhere, at a price point that’s far more affordable.

And in just four weeks, I went from the decision “I’m finally turning this into an online course” burst of inspiration to people logging in for their first lesson.

The first online cohort just started, and I’m already excited for what’s ahead.

And I couldn’t have done it without ChatGPT.

If you’re curious about how to harness AI to speed up your projects without losing the creativity and authenticity that makes them yours, I highly recommend checking out The AI Advantage.

Hundreds of people, like me, have benefited from this course.

Enrollment closes tomorrow, Friday, October 18th, and it won’t be offered again until 2025.

You can check it out here.

It changed the way I work. It might just change the way you do, too.
